12th American Lindy Hop Championships
Teachers' Master Workshop
Each year the American Lindy Hop Championships offers a dance camp along with an international convention filled with exciting contests, shows and activities. This year ALHC is hlding an intensive training opportunity with the Teachers' Master Workshop.
Beginning on Thursday, October 22, 2009
The workshop, a series of classes that focus on the business and teaching of swing dance with include topics like choreography, judging, jazz, air steps, aerials and more is open to local and regional instructors who are invited to participate.
Numbers are limited to 15 invited leaders and 15 invited followers. Participants pay $200 for the weekend. This package does not include competition fees, food or a room at the hotel..In lieu of payment a particpant may opt to register a group of 10 students for a full weekend pass who receive a $10 rebate on their registration.
This year ALHC offers tap and lindy tap divisions.
The Harlem Blues and Jazz Band returns to ALHC this year.
