AAU / ALHC National Dance Championships

Artspectrum is pleased to announce the second edition of the AAU-ALHC National Dance Championships featuring competitions in the solo, duo, group and collegiate categories for schools, community/recreation programs, studios and college/university dance teams. Offering workshops in tap, jazz, ballet, modern / contemporary dance, hip hop, and swing dance taught by nationally and internationally known teachers and coaches, the event is held in conjunction with the 13th American Lindy Hop Championships. Competitors are required to have a current AAU membership to participate in this event. In addition, contestants may also attend ALHC as spectators on Saturday and Sunday during the AAU divisions.

Divisions offered include college team, tap, jazz, hip hop and junior swing to name a few. Finalists from the Junior Swing Championship go on to participate in the World Lindy Hop Championship Junior Division held on Sunday at the event. To participate your club or school needs to be a member of the AAU. You should check with your college, school, studio or club to see if it is already a member. Each dancer would also need to be a member to compete. Memberships at at only $12. Membership fees are in addition to competition fees.
