Erik
Robison and Sylvia Skylar
Erik and Sylvia specialize in maintaining the
authenticity of America's most beloved dance - swing. This range of dance includes the
early 1900's Blackbottom, the 1920's Charleston, the 1930's Shag and Balboa, and the
1940's and 50's Lindyhop. They have taught across the US and in Europe. They
are
the originators of the HollywoodStyle of Lindy. They are the ALHC 1998
American Showcase champions.
Performers, too, they have appeared in a number of movies and on
Broadway in the musical Swing!.

Angie
Whitworth and Roddy Caravella
Angie and Roddy have been dancing in the New
York scene for about six years. They have also taught and performed together and
individually in Florida, Georgia, Canada, Germany, and Hong Kong. They have performed with
Wynton Marsalis and The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, on several TV shows and in the most
recent commercial for Foxwoods Casino/Resort and The Magic Of Christmas featuring Tony
Bennett and Garth Brooks. They are featured dancers in the feature film "Swing
City." They are also active on the competition scene.Angie
Whitworth and Roddy Caravella are mainstays of the Whitey’s Lindy
Hoppers style. They too have placed in many competitions around the
country. They are known for the fun energetic way they teach their
classes.

Sylvia Sykes
and
Jason Christodoulou
Sylvia
Sykes and Jason Christodoulou struck up a partnership 3 years
ago. While maintaining their own dance identities, they have forged a
partnership that has created a Smooth/Not Smooth/Contemporary style of
Lindy. They are a unique blend of the Dean Collins style of Lindy and a contemporary Hip Hop
flavor. |

Kenneth
and Helena Norbelie
Kenneth and
Helena are the 1997 World Lindy Hop Championships winners. They
have taught for years for the Swedish Swing Dance Society and
The Rhythm Hotshots summer dance camp. There they taught mainly
show and performance classes, something they will repeat
for MCJ. |

Ryan
Francois and Jenny Thomas
Ryan
and Jenny were one of the United Kingdom’s top
couples before moving to the US to perform in the Broadway musical
Swing!. Now based in Los Angeles the travel the world teaching workshops
and at camps as well as coaching competitive couples.

Kevin
St. Laurent and Carla Heiney
Kevin
and Carla are two-time ALHC American Showcase
champions. They are popular workshop teachers worldwide. |

David
Graybill
David
is a favorite partner of any Jack and Jill contestant
because of his inventiveness, connection and sense of style. He has
placed in many competitions a crossed the country. |

Joel
and Allison Plys
Joel
and Allison Plys are based in San Diego California. Finalists at
ALHC in last year’s American Showcase Division they also placed in the
Fast Dance Division. They offer a class they develop with Jason and
Sylvia. |

Bill
Borgida
Bill
Borgida is a well-known workshop teacher who travels the world
spreading his philosophy on partnering, connection and musicality.
