Ballet

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2pm

Swing Dance

Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3pm

Why should my child take ballet?
Not only does ballet help with coordination but it gives you the quickness necessary to increase the body's agility. Ballet's body positions improve deportment/sophisication. Learn a stylized dance while picking up some French words and gain lightness, the illusion of effortlessness and ambidexterity.

Why should boys take ballet?
It helps with posture, provides exercise in a warm environment, builds core strength, helps learn time management and acquires discipline and quick feet. Many football players take ballet because their profession demands agility.

Why should my child learn to swing dance?
There are lots of studies on how social dancing can improve you life, and swing dancing is an especially fun way to do it! Swing dancing is a creative dance, and unlike other classical dances, doesn’t require specific lines. In our classes, you will learn good basic technique, steps, step variations and styling options. We encourage students to be whoever they are. The end result helps the student learn how to work as a team, how to problem-solve, how to improvise, be creative and improve coordination and self-esteem. We'll work on group choreography in the early stages of class then add in their own couple's choreography in the spring, aiding them in thinking outside-the-box
