ALHC
classes will be taught on three different levels. There are many different steps and
stylings that will be taught at each level. No classes will be repeated. You may use the
following guideline when determining your participation level:
Beginning: Must be comfortable with triple steps and
familiar with the basics: Swingout or Whip, Circle, side by side Charleston.
Intermediate: Besides knowing the basics you must have a
solid lead/follow and be comfortable dancing to a variety of tempos.
Advanced: You flow easily between slow songs
and fast songs, styling and syncopating. You pick up new steps quickly and youre
ready for syncopations, breaks, dips and tricks at a variety of tempos.

General dancing happens between all competitions.

Schedule subject
to change based on competition registration. Workshops are included in the purchase of a
weekend pass. Those without a weekend pass will be charged $15 per workshop. Videotaping
is prohibited without the express written consent of Artspectrum / The American Lindy Hop
Championships. Tapes may be confiscated or violators ejected. If the problem
persists all photographic equipment will be barred from the ballroom.

This years event will again be held at the Sheraton in Stamford, Connecticut. The
Reservation Form is here. If you have difficulty
printing it, you should call the Sheraton Sales Office at (203)978-5622 to be faxed one.
The hotel has a health club featuring massage services, saunas, an
indoor pool and fitness center. It is conveniently located in downtown Stamford between
the Merritt Parkway, 1-95 and the Cross County Expressway. It is only 30 miles north of
Manhattan at 2701 Summer Street. For reservations call Stamfords Reservation Office

Schedule subject to minor changes based on
competition registration. All changes will be announced at the competitors meetings and in
the ALHC program. Please note that mailed in registration forms for advance
registration must reach the office by Oct 13 and online advance registration will close on
Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2002 at 10 pm. This includes called in requests for passes and online
registration. Weekend passes are non-refundable.
